A flyer is a good way to spread information without writing lengthy passages that may frighten readers away from what you have to offer. If you are planning a flyer about motorcycles then you'll need to draw the reader in with enough to interest them, but not so much that they're overloaded. However, people will never remember what they saw if it is not appealing enough. There is a way to make it both simple and appealing with a few simple tips.
Open up any program that supports text and images. For example, you can use Microsoft Word, Power Point or even Adobe Photoshop. Use whatever software you feel most comfortable with.
Start with a simple title. You need something that is short and straightforward, but conveys your information accurately. It could be "Motorcycles." This needs to be in a fairly large font at the top or middle of the flyer. It can be in color. Because motorcycles are commonly associated with speed, you could even put flame graphics around the font.
Include a subtitle if you'd like. If your flyer is about a specific type of motorcycle, the subtitle could give the name of that motorcycle. Make this a little smaller than the title.
Write down all the information that you feel needs to be explained on the flyer. Complete sentences are not necessary. You can use bullet points and simple but effective words (such as "motorcycle race" or "new bikes"). If you are selling motorcycles, stick to the basics; you do not need to explain every little detail.
Give contact information or a link to a website so readers can be hooked by the flyer and then follow up for further information.
Add images of motorcycles or motorcycle parts to your flyer. Use them sparingly to avoid overloading the reader. Make sure that your graphics do not cover any of the text. Choose images carefully, so that they all fit in well with the motorcycle theme.
Proofread your flyer for errors before printing. If desired, print it on thicker paper so it's more durable.
Do not make the text too difficult to read. If you are posting this flyer around town, make the title large enough for people to be able to read from far away.
