How Can I Forward PO Box Mail?
Forwarding PO Box mail can be expedited by using the tools available by the United States Postal Service (USPS). Forwarding can be done manually or using the tools on the USPS website. Once the proper address form is completed, it should be returned to the post office for processing. The customer has the option of doing a temporary or permanent forward of the PO Box mail. Once the forward is processed, the mail will be forwarded to the address specified on the form.
Visit your local post office. Request a Change of Address Form.
Complete the form and include your current address, duration of the forward, and the forwarding address.
Sign the form and give it to the USPS representative.
Visit the USPS website for the electronic Change of Address form. Click the orange terms button. Specify if the move is temporary or permanent. Enter the forwarding duration. Click the “Continue” button.
Specify the type of forward from the following options: Individual, Family, Business. Click “Continue.”
Enter your name, old address and forwarding address. Enter your e-mail address and click “Continue.” Enter your credit card details to process this order. You will be billed $1.00 to process this request. Click “Submit” to process.
Visit the USPS website for the electronic Change of Address form. Click the orange terms button. Specify if the move it temporary or permanent. Enter the forwarding duration. Click the “Continue” button.
Specify the type of forward from the following options: Individual, Family, Business. Click “Continue.”
Scroll down to the last few lines in the website. Click “Print Your Request.” Enter the verification details that include your name and mover’s agreement. Enter the verification code and click “Continue” to access the print options.
Click “File” and “Print” in your web browser. Take the printed form to your post office to process the order.
