The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers same-day redelivery of packages and certified mail if you missed the first delivery. However, you must make arrangements by a certain time and the service is only offered in certain zip codes. This service makes it easy to get your packages or mail delivered to you the same day even if you aren't always at home or in the office.

Things You Will Need

  • Your 5-digit zip code

  • Missed delivery notice

Obtain the peach-colored Delivery Notice/ Reminder/ Receipt (PS Form 3849) which was left by the USPS carrier.

Go to the redelivery area of the site and create a request by entering your 5-digit zip code.

Enter the article number from the peach-colored slip and the special services, mail type, notice type, date and click “Continue.”

Choose your redelivery option and your redelivery date and click “Continue,” and check through your information to make sure everything is correct. Click “Submit,” and wait for your package to be delivered.
