Business websites were once a domain reserved primarily for large corporations and e-businesses, but the increasing ubiquity of Internet access makes it important for all businesses to have a web presence. Even small enterprises that do business offline, like gyms, contractors and other service companies, can potentially benefit from having a website.
A website makes a business accessible to consumers at all times. Even if a company does not generate revenue online, a website lets consumers find information about the business when they need to and gives the business opportunity to interact with consumers through various channels such as email, discussion boards and social media. Modern consumers expect to be able to find basic business information, such as a phone number, address and store hours online.
