Cleaning an office building is simple if you have the right equipment and products. There is nothing difficult about cleaning an office. Most office buildings require the same type of maintenance as a home; dusting, vacuuming, toilets, etc. If you are going to be cleaning an office building make sure to have everything you need when you arrive, and before you know it, the office will be clean and presentable.

Things You Will Need
  • Vacuum

  • Broom

  • Dust pan

  • Floor cleaner

  • Mop

  • Ostrich feather duster

  • Dusting spray

  • Cloth

  • Bathroom cleaner

  • Toilet brush

  • Sponge

  • Window cleaner

Step 1.

Vacuum all the carpets in the office with a vacuum cleaner. If you have an all floors vacuum, you can also use it to clean the floors. If not, sweep the floors with a broom.

Step 2.

Mop the floors, after they are swept, with a floor cleaner and a mop. Be sure to clean around the baseboards. Floor cleaners can be purchased at any grocery or home store.

Step 3.

Dust the office furniture and fixtures first with an ostrich feather duster. The ostrich feathers pick up dust better than other brands. Next, use a dusting spray, and a clean white cloth, to add shine to table tops and other surfaces.

Step 4.

Clean the bathrooms with an all purpose bathroom cleaner available at any grocery or home store. Scrub the inside of the toilet with a toilet brush. Use a sponge, with the cleaner, and wipe off the sink area, and the rest of the bathroom surfaces and fixtures.

Step 5.

Wipe all windows and glass with a window cleaner and a clean cloth. Spray and wipe the glass until the liquid dissolves. Wipe until the streaks disappear.

Purchase a lightweight vacuum to provide ease when transporting it around. Place all of your cleaning products and equipment in an easy to carry tote.

Be careful when cleaning around computers and other electrical equipment. Only use water and clean cloths on electrical components; never use chemicals.
