A check stub is a part of a check that is kept as a record of a transaction. Physical copies of check stubs can be used as part of the official records of a business or as proof of bill payments. If you are using the Quickbooks accounting program in your business, you have the ability to print check stubs using the software. You can print the check stubs by using the "Bill Payment Stubs" utility.

Launch Quickbooks, then click "File" and select "Print Forms" from the drop-down list.

Click "Bill Payment Stubs."

Click the "Bank Account" drop-down list, then select an account to view the list of payments. Alternatively, you can view the list of payments by entering a start and end date in the "Dated" and "Thru" fields.

Select the check that is associated with the payment you want to use to print the check stub. The checks are listed next to the payment. If the check you want to use is not listed, you can find it in the register. Select the check, then click "Edit Transaction" and type "T" in the "Num" field. Click the "Record" button.

Click the "OK" button, then select the printer, the number of copies and click the "Print" button.
