Haier TVs are made by the Haier Group, a Chinese company founded in Qingdao, China in 1984. The company began as a small refrigerator factory and quickly expanded over the years, opening its first American factory in 1999. The company offers a full line of home appliances. The Haier Group is now recognized as a leading home appliance and consumer electronics company.
The Haier Group expanded into the color television industry in 1997 when it bought Huangshan Electronics Group. The company currently offers consumers a variety of LED and HDTV/DVD combo television sets.
Based in Lake Mary, Fla., Charity Tober writes mainly on finance, career, interior decorating, parenting and weddings. Tober has also self-published two children's picture books. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration from the University of Florida.
