The company began as a small refrigerator factory and quickly expanded over the years, opening its first American factory in 1999. The company offers a full line of home appliances. The Haier Group is now recognized as a leading home appliance and consumer electronics company.
The Haier Group expanded into the color television industry in 1997 when it bought Huangshan Electronics Group. The company currently offers consumers a variety of LED and HDTV/DVD combo television sets.
