Places to Fax Papers

At some point, most people find themselves in need of fax services. Sending documents instantly and cheaply has become a cornerstone of business around the world, not only for companies and professionals but for laypeople and students. With fax services in such constant demand, several options have emerged to compete for the privilege of sending and receiving information via fax.

Electronic Fax (E-fax/internet fax/email fax)

Electronic fax has become popular primarily for its low cost, array of options, and high speed. There is a multitude of online fax services including MyFax, RingCentral, RapidFAX, eFax, and Nextiva. All of these offer electronic fax services (usually for 300 to 500 pages per month) for comparably low monthly rates; most include the option of receiving different faxes in different email accounts. An electronic faxing service account is a viable option for businesses and individuals who frequently need to send or receive faxes.

Office Supply Chains

Large office supply chains (and some smaller ones) are virtually guaranteed to provide fax services on a per-page basis. Kinko's, OfficeMax, Office Depot, and Staples all offer quick and easy fax services (both sending and receiving). Local faxes are relatively cheap, while long-distance faxes may cost as much as a dollar per page. (International faxing is also sometimes available.) An official fax cover page is usually provided upon request. Using the fax services at office supply chains does not require an account or any setup, making it a good choice for individuals who do not use fax services on a daily basis. Locations and operating hours can be found on each company's website.

Postal and Shipping Chains

Large shipping companies such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL continue to broaden the spectrum of services offered, including the option of sending or receiving a fax at their brick-and-mortar locations. Cover pages and receipt confirmation are provided. Rates vary according to fax size and whether it is local, long distance, or international, but using a shipping company's fax services is still a solid option for individuals with one-time faxing needs.
