Cigna, with ties back to 1792, is one of the largest health insurers in the country. Offering many health insurance plan options to individual consumers and employer groups, Cigna is a publicly traded company with more than $18 billion dollars of revenue in 2009. Health Plan Member Website

Cigna subscribers have access to MyCigna, a Web portal that provides resources, tools and information to members. MyCigna requires a login and registration and is accessible through the Cigna website. Once logged in, the site provides you with claims tracking, a provider search, articles, personal health information tracking, cost of care comparisons, prescription ordering, forms and discounts on programs, among other features. All information on the site is confidential and protected by a firewall.

How to Apply

Applying for Cigna individual and family health insurance plans is easy through their website. Before formally applying, you can obtain a quote and compare various plan options after providing your birth date and other data. To apply online, you will need to register on the Cigna website and answer a longer questionnaire about yourself and any dependents you wish to cover.
