Cardboard risers are great for any business selling small items. They can be used to display a variety of items in a clean and organized fashion. Many collectors also use these to display their collections in an artistic way. The typical size of a cardboard riser display is 23-by-11 1/2-by-12 1/2-inches deep with 6-inch steps. However, they can be ordered in other sizes. Using corrugated cardboard is one of the best ways to ensure your display is strong enough to hold your items.

Items you will need

  • 1 Large corrugated cardboard box (23-by-11-by-6-inches deep)
  • 1 Medium corrugated cardboard box (23-by-5 1/2-by-6-inches deep)
  • Large paper clips
  • 1 Large flat piece of corrugated cardboard
  • Cardboard knife
  • Clear tape
Step 1

Place the large sized box upside down on the table.

Step 2

Hold the medium sized box upside down in front of the large sized box.

Step 3

Attach both boxes together using one paper clip on either side of the width of the boxes.

Step 4

Flip the two boxes over and place them flat on the table to make sure they set properly. Make any adjustments as necessary. Use more than two paper clips if needed.

Step 5

Measure and cut a piece of corrugated cardboard 25-by-12-inches wide.

Step 6

Align the cardboard piece you just cut with the front of your display and tape it with clear tape.

Step 7

Fold where the top of the first riser will begin.

Step 8

Fold the cardboard piece again approximately 6 inches from the first fold.

Step 9

Tuck the end of the cardboard piece in between the large box and the medium box.

Step 10

Secure the end of the cardboard piece with either the tape or paper clips.

Step 11

Measure and cut a piece of corrugated cardboard approximately 25-by-14-inches wide.

Step 12

Align the cardboard piece you just cut with the front of the second riser.

Step 13

Fold where the top of the second riser will begin.

Step 14

Fold the cardboard piece again approximately 6 inches from the first fold.

Step 15

Tuck the end of the cardboard piece behind the display unit and tape it secure.

Tips

  • When using these risers to display product, try decorating the display too. Doing this will make your product more appealing to your customers.

Warnings

  • When using these risers ensure the items you are placing on them are not too heavy for the cardboard to support.
